I think this image is a good example of Gestalt because it is simple, balance and straight to the point. The pictures flow from the top left, across and down to the ring on the bottom. The only words are the name of the designer and the pictures of the rings are left to speak for themselves. The top tow images are also arranged so they are on the thirds, not right in the center, which gives the image an overall balance to the eye.

Week 5 | Del Castillo

I think this poster is definitely a great example. The positioning of the top two rings are at the golden mean points from the rule of thirds. Also, the positioning of the name is dead center in between the rings which I think is well placed.
ReplyDeleteI also agree that this is a great example. The simplicity of the poster exemplifies the simple elegance of the jewelry. Also, by tilting the big ring upward toward the company's name, the reader's eyes are effectively drawn to it. I do feel that the poster might even be more effective without the two smaller rings on the top.
