Week One - Odiamar

Is it just me or is everyone else perplexed by what this even says? The small, international clothing manufacturer claims that "ANKELS means fine clothing". How can they portray an image of anything close to "fine clothing" when their wordmark is barely readable? Not to mention the font is very rounded making it appear childish, immature and unrefined for such a company. The lowercase letters give a more casual, unprofessional feeling and how close all the letters are is just unnecessary. Not to mention almost every single letter is problematic. First, the A can easily be mistaken for an O, then the lowercase N, being too close to the K makes it appear to be a lowercase R. The K has the similar issue; pressed tightly to the E the arm of the K can barely be seen and the L might as well be a lower case I with how small it is. One not paying close attention could easily miss it. Take away the "CLOTHING COMPANY" beneath the wordmark Ankels could be anything you want it to be.
