I wanted my logo to represent the sleek, sophisticated, and vibrant young lady that I am. I have always been a very feminine female, therefore I wanted to illustrate femininity throughout mystationary. I wanted my logo to scream simplistic vibrance. I wanted a simple design with a hint of bright color. I believe that I have produced a stationary design that is simplistic, sophisticated and eye-catching which describes my overall personality. I used two typefaces throughout my stationary. For my logo I used diskus. I chose diskus for my logo because it was a script that was readable and had a feminine touch. For my contact information I used centennial in italic. Centennial was a typeface that was very simple and clean. I put the information in italic to keep the consistency of femininity rather than using a script that more than likely would have been hard to read. I chose diskus and centennial because I believe that these two typefaces will appeal to every reader. I have a visual last name therefore I wanted to take advantage of “westbury”. I wanted an object that would resemble a compass. I wanted my “W” separated from my name to emphasize the “West”. How I went about making the compass object is first I used the line tool and created two lines intersecting one another then created the triangles at the edge of the lines. I then changed the color to 100% M which is the purest hot pink. To go along with the overall pink and black theme I created a hot pink bar set at the same color as the compass logo. Within the bar I created two black horizontal bars placed in the middle of the vertical hot pink bar. This added a little more vibrance and consistency. Overall my color scheme remained in CYMK.
