Week Nine-Jim Walsh

Design Process:
The design of my logo began as an attempt to combine the J and the W of my initials while using the scale of justice as the serif over the combined letters. Due to questionable readability, I changed the design to large letters for my first and last initials and a smaller font size for my middle initial to give the design balance. I also put the scale of justice hanging off of the serif over the J, and put my name below the initials for name recognition.
The business card includes my logo with my name and contact information. My goal for the card was to keep it very simple.
The envelope includes my logo with my contact information next to it on the front side in the top left corner.
The letterhead includes my logo with a line leading over to my name and contact information. I also have the scale of justice in the bottom left-hand corner at 20% opacity.

Typeface:
I went with the Prestige Elite Standard Regular typeface and used it for all typography on my stationary. The typeface gives off a very serious, businesslike vibe, and was suitable for my needs in the logo.

Other:
I used black and grayscale in my design because I did not picture any color involved.
The scale of justice is a symbol that represents the occupation of an attorney. I used it throughout my stationary as a way of symbolizing my future career.
I used a high quality, ivory colored paper for my stationary because it offers a look of professionalism. It is also sturdier and works well with the black and grayscale.
The space used on the business card is meant to keep the information easy to obtain and process.
